National wholesaler JJ Foodservice is planning to take a greater slice of the Charcuterie market with the launch of a dedicated category for the sector on its online ordering website.
The category consists of a wide range of gammon, turkey, ham, bacon, pastrami, beef and chorizo lines including many British and Halal options.
Group General Manager for JJ Foodservice, Terry Larkin, said: “Demand for artisan charcuterie has exploded in the UK, particularly in London where some restaurants are offering bottomless charcuterie on the menu! We have responded by growing the range and making the category easier to navigate.”
The new meaty range is aimed at JJ’s existing café, sandwich bar and deli accounts as well as attracting new business as the trend towards charcuterie continues to grow.
Customers can find the Charcuterie Category on the JJ Foodservice homepage – additional lines will be introduced based on initial feedback from customers.
Promotional offers will be available to launch the new range.
