For the fifth time and in a third different Mini, Terry Larkin, General manager at JJ Food Service, will be heading to Italy in his 1987 Classic Mini, along with other likeminded individuals to raise as much money as possible for the children’s charity the Variety Club.  This October event is called ‘The Italian Job’ and last year enough money was raised to buy not one but two Sunshine Coaches which were presented to specialist schools to allow disabled and disadvantaged children to visit locations around them.

This years expedition will head all the way to Rome taking in visits to famous race tracks, vineyards, castles and olive groves then heading to Turin, the home of ‘The Italian Job’ where the film of the same name was made starring Michael Caine.

Highlights include Police escorts around Rome passing the Vatican and Colosseum, and in Turin where Terry will also get to drive around the Lingotto, the banked rooftop track on top of the Fiat Factory.

Over 3,000 miles will be covered in two weeks and based on previous trips there will be breakdowns, but with an excellent service crew he hopes to make it back in one piece.

Terry wanted to thank both JJ Food Service and LavAzza Coffee who have assisted with sponsorship of these events. He also mentioned that without the support he would not have found it possible to help towards achieving nearly £2.5 million for the charity in the 26 years this event has taken place.
