Wild Ideas: JJ Branch Managers Share Innovation at Safari Park Away Day

Updated: Feb 23

In our most adventurous location yet, Port Lympne in Kent was the setting for our JJ Branch Manager meeting last week.

Set in a unique coastal location, with amazing views, surrounded by wildlife, it’s an Away Day we'll never forget.

We kicked off the day with a team meeting to share our 'Innovative Ideas' for improving service, sales, and customer satisfaction. The ideas were brilliant.

Following a delicious lunch of locally-sourced ingredients, our team boarded a 50-seater truck for a private safari.

On a private safari, we saw critically endangered animals such as black rhinos, Rothschild giraffes, and western lowland gorillas.

The Reserve is a haven for many rare and endangered animals. Expert keepers look after the incredible animals that call the 600 acre park home.

Once the safari was over – we walked to our Bear Lodge camp where we enjoyed a fiercely competitive JJ-themed Pub Quiz. Tensions were high as we battled it out to win a Port Lympne teddy bear and a JJ Foodservice Voucher!

We ended the day with dinner in the stunning Spencer Roberts room which has been beautifully decorated with hand-painted animal murals.

We finally retired to our Bear Lodge accommodation where we enjoyed an evening of toasting marshmallows at the fire pit and a night under canvas.

We look forward to organising many more events in the future designed to help us network, connect and keep innovating.
