Save the Date for Women in Fish and Chips

Updated: Feb 23

The next Women in Fish and Chips conference will take place on February 28th in Birmingham with some top shops lined up to speak!

The UK’s top fryers will gather to share advice on topics ranging from menu ideas and branding to digital innovation.

Speakers include Calum Richardson, Owner of The Bay Fish & Chips (pictured). The £1.5 million shop is leading the way on green initiatives and will address how shops can be more sustainable.

Running entirely on 100% renewable energy, Calum uses compostable packaging and zero-emission vehicles. As a result, the shop is the highest-ranking fish and chip shop accredited by the Sustainable Restaurant Association.

Calum will reveal his motivation behind the investment and how it’s paying off.

Kaylee Herbert, Director of Harlees says everyone knows how important front-of-house innovation is, but don’t leave the back of house behind!

With seven shops across Dorset and Wiltshire, Kaylee is helping to modernise operations by introducing processes to digitalise the family-run business.

Women in Fish and Chips is an annual event organised by JJ Foodservice. Our mission is to help inspire, support, and connect women working in the fish and seafood sector.

The conference is free for shop owners and managers.
