We are pleased to share that JJ has become an associate member of LACA The School People to continue our drive to supply more school and local authority caterers.
As the UK’s largest provider of school catering, the LACA network of more than 3000 caterers delivers three million lunches served every day in 27,000 schools.
Chief Sales Officer for JJ Foodservice, Baris Kacar said, “LACA membership helps us to reach a valuable network of caterers and school staff who are passionate about making sure school children get access to nutritious, healthy meals from approved suppliers.”
Following school catering contracts wins earlier this year with Bolton, Barnsley, Leeds, and Bradford Councils, worth more than £5 million pounds, JJ’s became one of YPO’s largest foodservice framework suppliers.
YPO offers a specialist procurement service that enables public sector customers such as schools and local authorities to benefit from cost and efficiency savings through bulk buying.
JJ is helping to support LACA's member catering services to deliver a nutritional, good quality, value
Category Manager for YPO, Jo Webster, said that JJ was helping to support some of their member catering services to deliver a nutritional, good quality, value menu while being socially responsible.
“To win a public contract under the framework, suppliers must demonstrate they can offer a range of quality products with competitive pricing. In some instances, JJ’s has helped our members to find a one-stop shop, which means less vehicles on the road, less food miles and less carbon footprint – we have large customers who have had long term contracts with JJ and feedback from
them has been good”.
Steve Sefton, Procurement Partner at YPO added, “JJ won some of the largest foodservice opportunities on our framework. This provides strong evidence that JJ has offered a combination of great prices and a comprehensive service that appeals to our customers.”
